Head Coach Dustin Norman
Norman joined the Southwestern Athletic Department as the Head Men's Soccer Coach in June 2018.
Norman comes to Southwestern after three seasons as the Associate Head Coach at Southern Methodist University. In those three seasons, Norman helped the Mustangs to three American Athletics Conference (AAC) Championships while earning AAC Coaching Staff of the Year twice. The Mustangs made multiple trips to the NCAA Sweet 16 and were ranked in the top 10 nationally each season.
The 2017 squad went 17-3-1 overall and advanced to the NCAA Championship where they fell to #3 North Carolina in the third round.
Prior to SMU, Norman spent two seasons at Oregon State University as the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator. OSU posted their highest Division I ranking in 10 years and earned the program’s first NCAA Tournament win during Norman’s stint.
Additionally, Norman spent time at Houston Baptist (2008-12), Mercer (2006-08) and Middle Georgia College (2005-06) as an assistant.
A three-time Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) All-Conference selection as a student-athlete at Maryville College, Norman logged 36 career goals and 22 assists and was named to the All-South Academic Team. He graduated in 2005 with a bachelor in business administration from Maryville and earned his master’s degree in business administration in 2008 from Mercer.
